也许很多人并不是很了解他...

但是，他敬佩亚洲人： "Those Oriental people work like dogs. They work their hearts out. They are workers non-stop. They sleep beside their machines. That's why they're successful in life. I went to Seoul, South Korea, I went to Taipei, Taiwan. I went to Tokyo, Japan. That's why these people are so hard workers (sic). I'm telling you, the Oriental people, they're slowly taking over."（他之后因为用了“Oriental”这个词而道歉）
最重要的是，他是一位真正做实事的好市长...

1. 他取消了$60的汽车牌登记费
真心是件履行竞选承诺的大实事！只能说谢谢。
2. 他负责了重新创建TCHC board。
Toronto Community Housing Corporation一直很腐败，并且很多社区的业主都很不满意。
3. 他私有化了城市垃圾的部分pickup
Humber River到Yonge街的西边，城市垃圾的pickup被私有化了。
4. 将TTC变成了一项至关重要的服务
在Ford的任期内，安省政府通过了一项条例，禁止多伦多交通罢工。因为交通罢工会导致城市经济每天损失$50 million。
5. 减少议员办公室来缩减开销
Ford将城市的开销从$2.7-million缩减到$2-million，共节约了$899,580。市政council投票同意减少议员的办公室开销，从$50,445减少到$30,000。
"all this office budget stuff is self-promotion to benefit yourself. Why should the taxpayers have to pay for it? It boggles my mind."
