Put one envelope in the other envelope. We will use the second envelope to return your passport and other documents to you
Add the documents you are sending that support your application.
Put your full mailing address in the “Deliver To” field and the CPP-O Case Processing Pilot-Ottawa Officepost office box address in the “Return Address” field.
Note the tracking number for each envelope.
If you do not send a second prepaid Xpresspost envelope, we will return your passport by regular mail. Our office is not responsible for items lost in the mail.
We will only return your passport through regular mail or a prepaid Xpresspost envelope. (If you include a prepaid envelope from a private courier company, we will not use it.)
You cannot apply through the CPP-O office if you do not live in Canada.

To make sure your application is not delayed:
pay your fee a few days before you mail your application (financial institutions and credit card companies may need up to five business days to validate your payment),
apply at least two months before you plan to leave Canada and
fill out the new 2D barcode form online (if you fill out the application by hand, it will take longer to process).

先为你的护照和Study Permit(学习许可)做一份复印件，并且放在与你的护照不同的地方，这将极大地为你在未来补申请相关的文件减少很多不必要的麻烦，可以更好地配合工作人员提高办事效率。
第二步: 护照遗失 立即报警挂失
在发现你的护照丢失后，尽快上门到离你最近的加拿大警察局(RCMP)报案，你需要向警局的工作人员提供你的Student ID，并如实书写一份护照丢失过程说明。如果你在警察局尽快建立遗失证明的话，你就不用担心你的证件被别人盗用进行不法活动的行为。然后工作人员会给你一个报案证明，其中包含一个Case Number，你在之后补办护照和Study Permit时都会用的到。
第三步：证件补办流程
接下来启动向加国移民局进行Replacement(补办)Study Permit 的程序。

如果移民局的官网已经调整，只要搜索IMM5009即可。
按IMM5545指南中http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/inf ... guides/5545ETOC.asp的要求填写完表格之后，必须附上报案时的证明及case number，原护照以及原Study permit的复印件，然后将以上资料邮寄到CIC处理中心。

如果是网上申请，你需要完成其online questionnaire，并得到一个类似QK4350881372的code 。
第四步：支付费用 $30CAD

第五步：补办护照
先下载、完整填写《中华人民共和国护照/旅行证/回国证明申请表》1份;http://vancouver.china-consula ... 4.pdf
需要二寸证件照3张，其中一张贴在申请表上。照片规格头部宽度为21至24毫米，头部长度为28至33毫米;背景为白色或淡蓝色，白头发的申请人须提交蓝色背景的照片。
需要提供原护照复印件，实在没有可提供其他能证明自己中国公民身份的证件(如国内户口本或身份证的复印件)。
需要提供你的Study Permit复印件，护照遗失须提交书面说明(简明的个人信息陈述，护照遗失、被盗或损毁书面情况报告。内容包括：个人情况，旅加前后经历，在加居留身份，护照遗失、被盗或损毁地点、经过，护照签发机关、签发时间、护照号码及有效期，家庭住址及联系方式、第一次入境加拿大的时间，并注明报案时的case number)。
需要提供学校录取通知信件，学校在读证明以及学习成绩单各一份(这一点目前是否还需要不详)。
申请人应亲自到使领馆办理，不能邮寄申请或委托他人代办。
办证时间: 补发护照时，申请人身份需经国内有关机关核实确认，因此办证时间不能确定。
取证及收费:
1、申请人在取证单标注的日期，或在接到电话通知，或自行网上查询护照已办妥后，由本人或委托他人凭取证单原件交费并领取证件。
2、普通护照补发收费35加元。接受现金支票( Money Order)、公司支票、加元银行卡(Debit Card)，不接受现金、信用卡和个人支票。如在大使馆办理，支票抬头请写：Chinese Embassy; 如在总领馆办理，则写Chinese Consulate General。
注意事项:
1、原护照将被宣布作废，即使找回也不能继续使用，应尽快送交使领馆注销。持被宣布作废护照入境，可能会被拒绝入境或被处以罚款等处罚。
2、已提交至使领馆的护照遗失补发申请任何情况下均不可取消或撤回。
第六步：在回国之前办理Entry Visa的手续

当初我也是为了回国。不过和你的情况不太一样，我有护照，只是护照过期了。不知道你去办travel document可不可以。
