《人物》（People）、《独立报》（The Independent）、CNN等媒体都曾专门报道过这位来自美国加州的illusionist（魔术师；运用错觉艺术手法的艺术家）。
Known as the Final Cut King, Zach King is a bona fide Vine star.
Zack King，人称终极剪辑王，是堪称业界良心的Vine视频明星。

有些同学可能要问，Vine是啥？
Vine是Twitter旗下一款短视频分享应用，其最大特点之一是每个视频长度限制在6秒钟内。
所以，要在6秒钟内吸引网友，这绝对是个拼创意的平台。
In the world of six-second Vine videos, the art of capturing an audience’s attention is vital – and few are better at it than Zach King.
在Vine视频的6秒世界中，抓住观众注意力这门艺术至关重要，而在这方面，很少有人能和Zach King比肩。

His videos have over 1.3 billion loops on Vine, and he"s racked up over 4 million followers at the time of this post.

While other popular Vine users post six-second pranks, mash-ups or jokes, King"s Vines are also comedic, but they stand out from the crowd with his astonishing illusions that use major motion-picture-quality special effects.
其他很火的Vine用户喜欢发6秒钟的恶搞、混剪或搞笑视频，King的视频虽然也搞笑，但总会以堪比电影特效的惊人视觉假象脱颖而出。

有人说他的视频是魔术，他表示，并不是……
“Vine is all about creativity to me. I love real life magic and highly respect magicians, but it"s funny when people relate my work to magic because I don"t do the tricks for real.”

你大概也发现他的视频跟传统意义上的魔术不太一样了吧……
没错，这些视觉奇迹全都是靠剪辑制作出来的……
King把这种剪辑手法叫做“digital sleight of hand”，数字障眼法。（sleight [slait] of hand：手法敏捷的戏法、花招）

嗯，还好Zack King不把自己的视频当魔术，也不像魔术师一样避讳揭秘。
他很大方地告诉大家他的秘诀就是一个，freeze，定住不动。
“We’ll do sometimes just simple jump cuts where I freeze and people come over and change my clothes and whatever.”
比如说有时我们做一个简单的跳起来的剪切，然后我定住，助手过来帮我换衣服之类的。
“A lot of people… are like "How did he do that?" And we’re like, ‘It’s just a freeze.’”
好多人就说，“他到底咋做到的？”我们就说，“就是保持不动而已。”
这样说来，似乎也不是很难嘛……
比如上面这个视频，就是他滚到中途，定住，cut，换衫，保持原来的姿势继续滚……
道理我们都懂，可是怎么能衔接得这样天衣无缝呢……
他表示，有时候一个镜头要拍二三十多条（20 to 30 takes）。然后就要靠聪明的剪辑了：

So while he"s not actually doing magic tricks, he has more in common with David Blaine than you might think.

Zack King说：
"It"s kind of a form of magic. We do take some of the techniques magicians will use, like making people look at a certain part of the screen when really something"s changing when they"re not realizing it on the other side. We"ll use that to our advantage to hide the subtle digital cuts."

The stunts, King says, he learned from watching YouTube.
King说，这些特技都是从Youtube上学来的。
"I would just watch behind-the-scenes videos to see how they were making the stuntman fall in Iron Man or Jurassic Park."
“我会看一些幕后制作花絮，比如看《钢铁侠》《侏罗纪公园》里怎么让替身演员坠落等……”
"It"s probably not the best recommended way to do it. Now we work with a couple different stunt teams, and they"ve given me some tips to be a little more safe than I was."
“这大概不是最推荐的方法。现在我们和各种特技团队合作，他们给了我很多tips，比以前安全多了。”
掌握了这些原理，似乎人人都能做视频了呢。
不过，最关键的是创意啊！
除了把生活中的小事物变成神奇脑洞，他还喜欢玩pun，双关的文字游戏。
比如，an apple a day keeps the doctor away，一日一苹果，医生远离你。
Scaring people to death，把人吓死……
Photobombing celebrities，在名人拍照的时候抢镜……（photobomb：字面意思，照片炸弹，指在人拍照的时候闯入镜头。）
真·photobombing，炸出一堆照片来……
虽然这些视频只有6秒长，但King和他的团队要花很大精力制作。
根据复杂程度的不同，一个视频的制作时间，从24小时到24天不等。
King的梦想是将来拍动作大片。
His ambitions are set high. "The dream is to direct features down the road. I would love to do a summer blockbuster where there are some cool special effects."
他的野心可不小。“我的梦想是将来能指导长片电影。我想制作一些夏日超级大片，有很多很酷的特效的那种。”
不过他还是会继续制作6秒Vine视频的。
“It’s all about inspiring people,” he said.
“做视频的目的就是为了把灵感和启发带给大家。”他说。
